Making the complex look simple
My career began in the publishing industry. Then I transitioned to UX teams. Now I write and edit user experience, marketing, and help content. I’ve also gained experience training LLMs, and editing AI-generated copy for style, consistency, etc. I leverage 20+ years of experience with Thumbtack, Uber, StubHub, and other major brands to organize simple, clean interactive content for complex products.
Thumbtack: Set Your Own Prices
Thumbtack’s pro app connects home care professionals with “leads” (future customers). For years, Thumbtack set how much leads cost for pros on the app. As lead content designer, I spearheaded a project to let pros set their own prices instead. This put control over spending and competition levels in pros’ hands.
Thumbtack: New Pro Onboarding
This was the first project to target a fresh audience of larger businesses. The goal was to overhaul the ‘front cover’ (the landing page and onboarding flow) of Thumbtack Pro to make it appealing and useful to companies representing larger teams of home care pros.
Uber: Driver Basics
Supporting Uber’s driver team, I created a learning hub for drivers to get set up on Uber and level up their business.
Uber Bike
I helped create the first version of Uber’s bike rental platform. I doubled as UX designer and content writer for this project.
