I wear these hats...

 

 

  1. CONTENT DESIGNER - My 20+ year work history has focused on content strategy within large user experience teams, at companies like eBay, Intuit, Uber, and most recently, Thumbtack.

    The story of my career starts with attending writing school as an MFA; teaching writing and editing; and serving as a managing editor at a publishing company, before switching to app & web content design. I’ve also acted as a marketing copywriter and a technical writer.

    All this trained me to understand the value of concise, clear copy, regardless of the medium. I take users where they want to go, in the shortest space possible.

  2. LLM EVALUATOR - AI is the future of the industry. In 2025, I helped Thumbtack define how we evaluate and deploy AI-generated copy. This started with training an LLM to generate messages on behalf of customers looking for home care professionals. It continued with refinement of the LLM’s approach, and auditing its output to ensure the LLM content is useful and consistent.

  3. FORMER UX DESIGNER - Through coursework at General Assembly and a hybrid content / interaction design job at StubHub, I wireframed UX interactions and mapped human behavior for online spaces. As a designer, my focus was the same as ever: taking complex, large platforms and making them appear clean and uncomplicated to the end user. I specialize in holistic examination of an intricate web or mobile space, to then create an easy-to-navigate experience that disguises complexity.

  4. CANCER SURVIVOR - I survived two bouts with cancer, and came very close to death. This gives me a unique and energetic passion for life and for people. Life is hard, and it moves fast. I’m here to make people’s lives easier, as a person and as a content designer. I believe in a supportive, cooperative, highly communicative approach to all my interactions, professional and personal. Everything I do is human-first. I lead with empathy.
